Biography:

“Stone Jam” have been a resident band at the Fridge Bar in Brixton for 4 months and seem to be changing the way people come together to showcase their talent and contribute.

Stone Jam in essence started in The Dyer family basement where aside from The DreZone, Delroi Dyer (elder brother of The DreZone); Shaun Collins (percussionist) would practice over the years.

Various musicians would come down and there would be a jam session including Justina Curtis (one-time Keyboard player and vocalist for Goldie), John Crawford (session pianist, in particular for Lewis Taylor and Outside), Rianna Scipio (Television presenter and former weather girl turned solo artist) among others.

Ray Wright became a regular Bass player who would session on Delroi’s solo material and eventually, a unit was formed (with The DreZone on Keys).

Over the years, the unit played at numerous jam sessions before finally being offered to play as a regular band in Brixton, thus “Stone Jam” was born (indirectly named after an album by Funk band “Slave”).

“Stone Jam” as a core faction has just been offered a 1-year contract (formerly 8 weeks) by the Fridge Bar and will be looking to evolve over the next 12 months.

Musicians and singers from all over London and now the States have arrived in their masses, frequently asking “Stone Jam” to be their back-up as they sing or perform poetry.
